Koeppe blames Rutgers president for athletics mismanagement

The head of the commission that issued a harsh report faulting Rutgers University for mismanaging its athletics department on Thursday said the responsibility for fixing the problem lies with president Richard L. McCormick.
McCormick, who came under fire in the report for failing to exercise control over athletics, faces an "important test" of whether he's up to the challenge, said Al Koeppe, who headed the nine-member panel.
