E-mail the information to: military@starledger.com Please follow these guidelines: Write up a brief summary of the military accomplishment (such as a service member graduating from basic training, getting promoted to a new rank, being commissioned for duty in Iraq…) Be sure to include the service member’s full name, military branch, military title, where he or she completed training, where he or she is based, name of high school he or she graduated from, year of graduation, town where high school is located, and name and hometown of service member’s parents. Air Force Airman Daniel M. Mercurio has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, military customs and courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Mercurio is a 2004 graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School’s north campus in Plainsboro. The airman is the son of Mary and William Mercurio of Park Hill Terrace in Princeton Junction, and the nephew of Melinda Mercurio of Plainfield Avenue in South Plainfield.
