There's an old axiom about how to understand politics: Follow the money. This site gives you the tools to do just that.
Here you'll find tools to search campaign contributions to county and state candidates as well as party committees. You can find out how much an individual, company or labor union has contributed to a particular candidate or party. Or you can ascertain a particular community's political leanings by looking at how much money has flowed from various zip codes to each party. Any comments or suggestions, please let us know.
This database contains: Gubernatorial contributions, 1981-2005; Legislative contributions, 1985-2005; State and County "soft money" contributions, 1994-2005. It will be updated as more current information is made available.
