New Jersey School Enrollment

School enrollment is perhaps the best measure of community demographics, save for the decennial Census. Each year, school districts report the race and ethnicity of their student bodies to state and federal administrators.

On this site, you'll be able to see how districts have changed over time. The Star-Ledger analyzed changes from the 1999-00 school year to 2006-2007, which is the default measure you'll find on these pages. However, the site will also allow you to explore and compare districts and schools going back to the mid-1980s, when enrollment data was first recorded electronically.

Find Your School: See how demographics have changed since 2000. Start at the county level, and rank districts by category. Then drill down to individual districts and schools.

RANK: See how your school and district compare. Choose a statewide ranking, or customize your list to include only similar schools.
